Great cities have great attractions. Connecting our Future is a $12.5 million mission to expand the city’s two dynamic waterfront museums.
Our museums are already winners. Burpee’s Jane the dinosaur has drawn thousands of visitors. Discovery Center ranks fourth on Child magazine’s national list of best children’s museums.
Help us make them bigger and better. Help us connect children to science and adventure. Help us connect people to their natural world. Help us connect visitors to a world of personal discovery and growth.
Your contribution will:
- Expand the museum campus, a key to establishing downtown Rockford as the city’s cultural corridor
- Create a space for large traveling exhibits that bypass us for museums with big exhibition halls
- Bolster tourism by giving travelers another reason to visit Rockford
- Improve our region’s quality of life through cultural and educational experiences
